The Covid-19 pandemic has devastated humanity, taking proportions never before experienced since 2020, reaching countries in a fast and lethal way, emotional lives in all age groups, leaving orphans, generating impacts involving diverse, social, social, epidemiological and other aspects on a large scale, highlighting the fragility of health systems on several continents and effects that persist after infection for survivors. Understanding this situation to be faced by global health systems, we wrote these notes with the aim of investigating in the literature the most frequent complications, symptoms and persistent sequelae in the period of recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection, surpassed by Covid survivors. 19 The evidence found reveals the involvement of several biological systems from the complications and sequelae left by the infection. They range from leaves to disabling and directly impact the quality of life of survivors, as well as the direct and indirect costs for the health systems of the continents affected by the pandemic. The development of larger studies is needed to scale the long Covid effects for the society.
